Uranus personifies the starry evening sky. He is associated with unusual sexual habits, eccentricity and sudden change.
In the creation myth of the Greeks, Uranus came forth spontaneously from Earth, personified by the Goddess Gaea. Gaea herself came spontaneously into being out of Chaos which preceded all things. From the union of Uranus and Gaea all life was born.
Saturn led a rebellion against Uranus and he was castrated. From his several genitals, Aphrodite, Venus to the Romans, was born.
